Danish-born photographer Sofie Barfoed specializes in fashion and beauty.
She is known for her personal, surreal, unique, moving style and has won awards from several institutions. In recent years next to her fashion work, Sofie has been taking photographs of personalities such as Tim Barter, Jean-Christian Bourcart, Martine Fougeron and artists Alice Hope and Jaq Belcher.
Her career in photography started as assistant for Michael Langhoff and Piet Simonsen. She went on to study at the International Center of Photography in New York.
Since graduating she has worked for clients such as the Danish Royal Ballet, Quadron, and Spon Diogo. Her work has been featured in exhibitions in New York and Denmark, and was published in two books: “SHIFT” book memories and Mary Ellen’s “Oaxaca”.
